TRMG August 2009 Survey Results

Comments:
1. Very rarely

2. Accessorial charges normally accrue with the Consignee at the destination, not with the Shipper
Our standard process is to bill the Consignee.
3. Depends on the status of section 7 of the SBOL

4. Accessorials are billed separately and at the time of service.
5. Demurrage/detention would be the primary assessorial charge that would potentially accrue at
destination on a prepaid shipment...and we would look to the consignee to pay for those charges....
but, unless they have been placed on 'NM' by DSES, we would invoice after the fact, not at
    the time of unloading
6. We usually bill the shipper on prepaid shipments unless the bill of lading states that they will
not pay accessorials or that they must be notified prior to performing the extra service.
7. Shipper and Consignee same in our business and charges at destination are normal.
9. We will invoice the appropriate party, shipper or cons who requested the service.
