KAROLYN RUBIN, ASSOCIATE at-LARGE MEMBER Hello
Associate Members, I hope 2006
finds you well both personally and professionally! Our Spring
meeting is around the corner and as always, very excited to see everyone in Capitolizing
on Transportation Revenue Management will provide a great opportunity well
beyond networking amongst our peers and business colleagues. Associate
Member orientation will be held on Sunday, April 23rd between 4:30
p.m. – 5:00 p.m. This meeting is
mandatory for all Associates who are attending the TRMG conference for the
first time. First timers will have an
opportunity to pick up all registration materials during the meeting. The meeting
will begin on April 23rd.
We will be sponsoring the Sunday evening reception “After Dark”
Monument tour. The historical tour is
quite fascinating as well as scenic.
Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel. Please go to the website for additional
tour details. Two days of
educational sessions will follow and are packed with information on contract
pitfalls, benchmarking data, as well as carrying to the Hill issues regarding
carrier reclamations and privacy laws.

are being held April 24th.
This is a great opportunity to participate and help grow the TRMG and
our industry overall. Please bring
your list of discussion topics so it can be addressed during the
meeting. Remember, the roundtable is
an opportunity for all of us to work together! Back by
popular demand is the Beer and Browse networking session on April 24th
between April 25th we
will be stretching our legs and Walking the Hill to meet Congressman and
Senators during our House and Senate visits, an experience you will not want
to miss! You will have an opportunity
to discuss relative issues that impact and affect the credit and collection
industry. Dress code is business, but
bring comfortable walking shoes…trust me on this one. Last, a
special welcome to the National Rail Transportation Credit Group, the
National Transportation Credit Group and the National Air Express Cargo
Group! These groups will be joining us and please be sure to introduce
yourselves and say hello. Thank you for
your support, encouragement and collective efforts during my tenure as
Associate at-Large Member. I really
enjoy working with everyone and appreciate the relationships built. I can be

Revenue Management Group Associate
Memo . . . . I wanted to follow up on a few
housekeeping items discussed during the Associate conference call held on
March 7th. Beer and Browse- Signage Dimensions: All Associates will have ½ table (size
of table will be 6 ft in length) to display your agency’s information, promo
giveaways, etc. SIGNAGE DIMENSIONS are not to exceed 2 ft. by 4
ft. Anything larger will not be permitted to be displayed. Associate Membership: As a reminder, there are still vacancies
for Vendor Associate memberships. All companies that represent
product or service related business solutions that’s business core is not
collection agency related, must apply and register for membership as a
Vendor. If you have any recommendations for
Vendor Associates or are currently doing business as a Vendor and would like
to membership application, please contact NACM South Texas, Deana Gardner for
more information. Capitol Hill Visit and Senate and House
Meetings: Please remember to forward your HOME
address information to Deana Gardner by March 24th. In
order to appropriately schedule appointments with your congressman and
senators in your district this information is needed. Discussion points
will be outlined to include Privacy Laws and Carrier Reclamation issues that
affect our industry. Registration for TRMG and Hotel: If you haven’t already done so….PLEASE
REGISTER. It will help give all of us a better understanding of
what the sponsorship costs will be per registered Associate member. Roundtable Discussions: Finally, please forward any roundtable
discussion topics that you would like addressed during our session.
Remember, anything outside of the TRMG can also be addressed as well…it’s a
great opportunity for all of us to benchmark and work through burning issues
or trends that overall affect our agencies or industry. Feel free to
send topics to Deana or my attention via email. Again,

Ethics – Associates It is the primary purpose of the
Transportation Revenue Management Group (TRMG) to provide certain educational
benefits to the membership within the freight transportation industry in
order that the member firms’ representatives may more knowledgeably perform
their individual duties with respect to the revenue management activities of
their business. It is a privilege for Associate
members to be members of the TRMG; it is imperative and part of this Code of
Ethics that each Associate member realizes and acts accordingly. Associate members are defined as: Any individual or company supplying
products or services to the trucking industry in the area of credit,
collections and/or revenue management which is willing to subscribe to and
abide by the bylaws and any other rules and regulations of the TRMG. An
Associate member must be a member of the National Association of Credit
Management and must otherwise be in compliance with the Bylaws of the Group. Each Associate member of the TRMG
should conduct himself or herself in accordance with this Code of Ethics, and
their member standing with the TRMG will be conditioned on complying with
this Code of Ethics. Each Associate shall: 1) Conduct himself or herself in a
professional and respectful demeanor, treating other members will dignity and
respect, while showing consideration for other members. 2) Maintain a high level of honesty and
fairness. 3) Refrain from unprofessional
communication tactics. 4) Refrain from overly aggressive sales
and marketing strategies. 5) Avoid any activity that would bring
discredit to the TRMG. 6) Avoid practices or comments that
would cause other members discomfort. 7) Refrain from any “inducements” to do
business with a member, other than normal business entertainment. 8) Participate in accordance to the
majority vote of the Associate membership, and refrain from taking grievances
to the carrier members. 9) In all ways and manners, keep the
benefit of the carrier membership before them and judge all actions against
the benefit for the entire group. |
